Create Enhance website backups

Use the Enhance main control panel server with a valid cPFence license and a Super admin API key. WebUI users need access to the selected websites and permission for this action.

Check that configured backup storage has enough space before launching a large selection. These are Enhance website backups, separate from cPFence settings and WordPress snapshots.

  1. Open Tools & Utilities → ApiMachine Bulk Tools.
  2. Choose Cluster scope or Select servers, apply your filters, then check the intended website rows. Review the selection rules; filtering alone does not select websites.
  3. Open Choose action → Backups → Bulk create website backups.

Backups action menu showing Bulk create website backups.

Choose Bulk create website backups for the selected websites; completion still needs to be checked after dispatch. Select the image to enlarge it; use your browser's Back command to return.
  1. Review the selected websites and Confirm and run. A Dispatched result means backup work continues; it does not establish completion.

Follow the success/error logs named in the output and check Enhance backup status. A dispatched request is not a completed backup.

Use root on the main control panel server. Generate and edit the CLI site list first so that /var/log/cpfenceav/cluster-sites-list.txt contains only your intended targets.

Terminal window
cpfence --bulk-create-website-backups

Read the target list and confirm the action when prompted.

Creation logs are /var/log/cluster-create-website-backups-success.log and /var/log/cluster-create-website-backups-error.log. Follow them and Enhance status until the requested backups finish.

For failures, read each target’s error and check its actual state before retrying. Keep the retry selection limited to the intended websites.
