Which scanning engines does cPFence use?

cPFence v4+ uses its malware engine and signature database for normal website-file scanning. Mailbox scans use ClamAV-based detection for messages and attachments.

Review detections

1. Run the relevant website scan or enable mailbox scanning.
2. Read the findings and each action, including any errors.
3. Review the separate website and email quarantine settings before expecting automatic isolation.

Quarantine and notifications are separate outcomes

A finding does not prove its file or message was moved. Likewise, a configured email or Slack destination does not prove that an alert reached its recipient.

Use cPFence’s supported exceptions for false positives and recovery controls for stored files.
