Enable or disable email spam protection

Email Spam Protection in cPFence v4+ adds spam detection rules. It is off in fresh settings and is separate from server-wide Spam AutoShield.

Detection settings with Email Spam Protection, separate Email Scanning and Email Quarantine switches, server scope and Save.

Spam rules have a separate switch. The picture shows this server's saved settings, not fresh-install defaults or a detection result. Identifying values are hidden. Select the image for full size; use browser Back to return.
  1. Open Threat & Malware Detection, choose one server and open Settings.
  2. Set Email Spam Protection, then Save.
  3. Confirm the switch and review the next mailbox scan’s detections.

Support users need access to the server and protection-setting permission.

Run as root on the target server:

Action Command
Enable spam rules cpfence --enable-spam-protection
Disable spam rules cpfence --disable-spam-protection

See mailbox scanning to stop all mailbox scans or exclude one mailbox, and email quarantine to review the action setting.
