Apply the recommended spam configuration

  1. Open Spam AutoShield → Settings.
  2. Check Apply actions to and select the intended mail servers.
  3. Choose Apply recommended configuration, review the confirmation and run it.
  4. Wait for the final result for each server. Check a failed server’s output before repeating the change.

Use this after mail-server changes or when restoring the supported filtering baseline. Preserve custom configuration before applying the preset; it can change Rspamd policies and related mail settings.

Enabling the master is a separate step. See Spam AutoShield settings and dependencies.

From a root terminal on the intended mail server, run:

Terminal window
cpfence --configure-spam-autoshield

This applies the supported spam-folder handling and Bayes learning settings and configures Rspamd’s Redis connection. It updates this server, not the WebUI’s Apply actions to selection, and does not separately enable the Spam AutoShield master.

Read the final output and check that the mail services are running. If configuration fails, review its error and your saved custom settings before retrying; do not treat a submitted WebUI action as a successful configuration.
