Uninstall cPFence

Use root on the server you intend to remove. If you are troubleshooting, pause the affected features or contact support first.

  1. Back up settings and retain website backups. On the main control panel server, arrange any required per-website billing change with support before removal.

  2. Stop daily AutoShield and, if needed, remove the cPFence MU plugin on this server:

    Terminal window
    cpfence --wp-autoshield-off
    cpfence --bulk-remove-mu-plugin

Review the plugin-removal scope and output; do not remove a plugin that your sites still require.

  3. Run:

    Terminal window
    cpfence --uninstall
  4. Read the removal preview and type uninstall to confirm. Check the final result.

Uninstall remains available when the license has expired. If licensing prevents a new backup or optional WordPress preparation, keep the existing archives and ask support about the preparation; removal itself is still available. If removal reports incomplete recovery, keep its evidence and follow the displayed retry instruction; do not delete state files. To restore protection, reinstall cPFence and check cpfence --status.
