PostgreSQL working-directory warning
An Enhance database query may print:
could not change directory to "/root": Permission deniedThis can happen when a command started from /root runs a PostgreSQL helper as the postgres user. That user cannot enter root’s private directory. The message alone does not establish a failed cPFence operation; read the command’s actual result and any other errors.
Avoid the warning
Section titled “Avoid the warning”-
Before running the intended command, use a directory accessible to the helper:
Terminal window cd /tmp -
Run the task from that directory. For a deliberately requested per-website license synchronization, use root on the main control panel server:
Terminal window cpfence --sync-ips -
Check the actual result. For synchronization, look for the provider’s
successconfirmation before treating the IP change as complete.
Do not loosen /root permissions to suppress the message. If the original operation may already have changed state, check its result before repeating it. A database connection or SQL error requires separate investigation; contact support with the exact error privately.
